For version 2022.2, we have amplified and enhanced our pro editing features, ensuring that Lightworks is the optimum tool for editing, finishing, and delivering perfect projects every time.

ENCODE - LIGHTWORKS PRO ONLY
Lightworks is fully ProRes certified and allows for native, maximum quality Apple ProRes content creation on Windows, Mac and Linux! Enjoy improved real-time editing performance, stunning image quality, and reduced storage load with options ranging from ProRes 422 Proxy up to ProRes 4444 XQ.
Apple ProRes encode will be available to Lightworks Pro users, supporting frame sizes up to 4K at full resolution.
LIGHTWORKS FREE, CREATE & PRO
Quickly and easily apply pre-baked LUTs to clips which changes the LOG linear characteristic. If present in the file, Lightworks will read the metadata on import and display the expanded list of specific LUTs available for that camera manufacturer. You can, of course, still select a LUT from another manufacturer if you desire.
Includes support for: ARRI, Canon, GoPro, Panasonic, RED and Sony. You can also import custom LUTs if required.

Our new look scopes aren’t just more user friendly but are now more accurate than ever to ensure a perfect evaluation of the colour information of your footage. The inclusion of the CIE colour system allows for pinpoint precision in even the most minor differences in colour by representing the entire gamut of human vision. You can also now customise the layout of your scope panel, creating one that best optimises your workflow.
Note: These new Video Tools updates require an OpenCL compatible graphics card.

We’ve expanded the list of export options to include 10-bit, so all the high-quality data preserved within the new pipeline can be preserved in the exported file. From LUT application on import through to lossless export, the new 10/12-bit export codecs are:

Our new and improved decoding pipeline guarantees that your 10-bit footage is looking its best while ensuring the maximum detail captured by 10-bit capable cameras is available within Lightworks.

Lightworks sister product — QScan Automated Quality Control — allows you to meet all major international delivery requirements without requiring a video engineer or complicated external workflows. And now it can do all that directly from your Lightworks timeline*.
Use automated templates to analyse your files against OTT, VOD, or broadcast specs, and then fix any reported issues directly on your timeline. No external or 3rd party intervention is required.
QScan works with most file types and can detect all common issues, such as video levels, missing audio, photosensitive epilepsy triggers, loudness levels, digital dropouts, and more.
Unique for Lightworks, this built-in QC functionality ensures your projects will be finished perfectly to spec every time.
* A QScan installation is required on a Windows system. This can be a system on the same network or a virtual machine. A valid QScan license will need to be present, along with a Lightworks Pro license active on the system.
